New year, new whatever
At the beginning of every new year, I get the insatiable urge to brand and rebrand myself. Here’s a list of my 2026 goals, some explained and some not.
Travel more. I already have a few trips booked.
Learn how to budget because the cost of living crisis is real. I already work two part time jobs with a bachelors degree.
Get a few more tattoos and another piercing.
Continue indulging in my hobbies and maybe pick up a few new ones.
Visit a brewery.
Go to more concerts. I only went to 2 or 3 last year, and that is simply unacceptable.
Be more merciful to those around me.
Be happy being single.
Stop being scared of journaling and writing in general. It’s not that serious.
Be more organized with my physical space.
Diversify my music taste.
Get off my phone.
Spend more time with my family and friends. I don’t live to work.
Move somewhere.
Give myself grace for not knowing what I want to do next with my career. I’ve been spiraling out about grad school since March 2025, and I don’t know what I want to do with a career. My life won’t end because I’m taking a gap semester.
Learn how to cook.
